Imagine this: during dinner, a political discussion starts. One person supports one party, another supports a different one. Half an hour later... does anyone change their opinion? No, not at all. You see this on TV every day too.
But what does happen? Voices get louder. Hearts get hurt. And relationships weaken.
In other words... you may win the argument, but you lose the relationship.
Take the example of home. The wife says: "You don't give me time."
The husband immediately replies: "That's wrong, I come home every day."
And just like that, an argument begins.
But if the husband simply said:
*"I feel like you really feel that way. Tell me, what can I do better?"*
The argument ends... and the hope of solving the problem begins. Because he listened to the feeling, not just the argument.
What happens the most on Social media these days?
Arguments... sarcasm... and trying to put each other down.
Have you ever thought about it...
How many times have you seen someone change their opinion after a heated argument?
Very rarely.
But how many times have you seen relationships get damaged?
Probably many times.
_It’s better to save the relationship than to win the argument. Listen to the feeling before the logic._
