An amazing event that is held 4 times a week are the telegram hunts. On monday it's dice, wednesday plinko, saturday crash and on sunday it's a special wincoin hunt which can be both dice or crash. In these hunts on telegram players have to make as much hits as possible in 2 hours on a certain multiplier in the game of the hunt and post screenshots of their hits. After the hunt is finished the top 3 players with the most hits will win a prize. I'm a big fan of the telegram hunts and really like to play them.
It's getting tougher and tougher to play the challenges with success though because of the price of BTC which is sky rocketing. The telegram hunts always have minimum bet amounts to use for each currency and a fixed prize of 50$ that will be awarded in DOGE calculated by the price of DOGE when the announcement of the hunt is posted. The minimum bet amounts for each cryptocurrency are connected to BTC meaning that if the prize of BTC goes up then the bet size of the other cryptocurrencies go up as well. The prize pool in $ doesn't go up though and that's why a much bigger balance is needed to play the hunts and a much smaller chance to get any profit. I will explain it with the following 3 examples:
Example 1
Here are the minimum bet sizes of the last dice hunt on the 14th of July 2025:
In this example a bet of 0.0367 USDT is needed on a multiplier of 300x. The top 3 in the hunt gets 108/79/60 DOGE which was worth totally 50$ at the time of posting.108+79+60=247 doge total meaning that the first prize is 108/247*50=21,86$. This means that if you start with a balance of $20 that only 545 reds will drain your balance (which is almost equal to the first prize) and you end up without a prize and just a big loss.
Example 2
Here are the minimum bet sizes of the dice hunt on the 3th of February 2025:
In this example a bet of 0.0282 USDT was needed on a multiplier of 282.85x. The top 3 in the hunt got 82/62/47 DOGE which was worth totally 50$ at the time of posting.82+62+47=191 DOGE total meaning that the first prize is 82/191*50=21,46$. This means that if you start with a balance of $20 that 709 reds will drain your balance which is 164 bets more then the hunt on the 14th of July.
Example 3
Here are the minimum bet sizes of the dice hunt on the 16th of September 2024:
In this example a bet of 0.0176 USDT was needed on a multiplier of 282.85x. The top 3 in the hunt got 218/158/119 DOGE which was worth totally $50 at the time of posting. 218+158+119=495 DOGE total meaning that the first prize was 218/495*50=22,02$. This means that if you started the hunt with a balance of $20 that 1136 (!) reds would drain your balance which is more then double the amount of reds then the hunt on the 14th of july 2025.
These examples show that the minimum bet sizes in the telegram hunt got up a lot latest 10 months while the prize pool has stayed the same. The risk to lose whole your balance without getting any/enough hits to win a prize has become much bigger. Normally the higher the risk, the higher the reward but that's not true in this case.
We can compare this to the forum challenge where there has not been the same problem because the prize pool is in BTC. When BTC goes up, the minimum bet sizes (and risk) go up but even the reward because it gets paid in BTC which is then also worth more.
This is why I want to propose a change in the telegram hunts. As I see it there are 2 options which would be better than the current:
Option 1 - The total prize-pool will be a fixed amount in a certain cryptocurreny (no USDT). As example the prize pool will always be 300 DOGE. When the price of BTC (and DOGE)goes up, a higher bet size is needed but the prize pool will also be worth more because it's still the same amount of DOGE with a higher value.
Option 2 - The minimum bet size is always the same amount in USDT exchanged to all the cryptocurrencies on the day of the hunt. As example a minimum bet size of 0.02 USDT is always needed. When the price of other cryptocurrencies are higher it means the minimum bet size in those cryptocurrencies will be lower and opposite. This will ensure that the risk in comparison of the $50 prize pool will always be the same.
These are just my thoughts and suggestions but it would be interesting to hear the opinion of other telegram hunt players. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments!
