Be Kind – It Costs Nothing but Means Everything
Hi everyone!
We often hear or read this line " A small act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s day." Do we really know what it means or do we practice it? As the title says, it doesn't cost anything to be kind. It can be as simple as greeting or smiling at a friend, a colleague, a family member or a random person you cross paths with. A simple smile can actually make someone's day, what more if you greet them or ask how their day is going. Whether it’s a simple compliment, a listening ear, or just being respectful in our words, can change someone's day.
We don’t always know what others are going through, so a little kindness can go a long way. This is also applicable in this modern time where social media arises. We often read harsh and hateful comments, bashing and criticism, which affects other people's mental health. If one nice compliment or nice word can make a difference, it's the same way with one hateful comment or bashing. It is a fact that in the current generation we are more sensitive, so choosing our words is important. Is it respectful? Is it helpful? Is it something I’d appreciate if I were on the receiving end?
Let’s choose empathy over judgment and compassion over criticism. We can also try putting ourselves in the other person's shoe before making a move. At the end of the day, it is our conscience who will speak.
So always choose to be kind and kindness will come back to you ten folds or more.
#BeKind
