Numbat Day is a day to celebrate Western Australia’s unique mammal emblem and to encourage action to conserve the species. You can help numbats by encouraging responsible pet ownership, spreading the word about the marsupial’s plight and never removing hollow logs from the bush. The Numbat is under threat from habitat loss and introduced predators such as foxes and feral cats. With an estimated population of fewer than 1000 individuals, we need your help to protect the future of this unique marsupial.
