You Are Living Till You Have the Hope
There was a time when I had nothing left but hope, and honestly, even that felt like it was hanging by a thread.
I used to be, in some extent, good at gambling. For a while, things were working in my favour, and I got comfortable with it. But luck, as it always does eventually, turned its back on me. Slowly, then all at once, everything I had was gone. No money in my pocket, no one around willing to help, and no clear way out. Those days were heavy. I'd lie awake at night, staring at the ceiling, wondering how I'd even reached this point. But somewhere below all that mess, one small thing declined to die — THE HOPE. I didn't have any more funds in my bank balance, nor in WINDICE, I didn't have loyal supports, but I still had this quiet belief that things could turn around and indeed they would for everyone someday. And that belief was the only thing keeping me standing.
Then, almost by chance, I came across a small rain system on WINDICE, a simple chatbot that always rains crypto after each 5 and 10 minutes, where users could receive tiny bits of crypto for free. It wasn't much, just a little over 1 Doge landed in my account. To most people, that amount means nothing. To me, in that moment, it felt like someone had thrown me a rope while I was drowning, deep into the thoughts, deep into the thoughts of well, unsure what to do.
I didn't rush it. I played dice game slowly and carefully, moving cautiously with what little I had, and that 1 Doge grew to 12. It wasn't a fortune, but it was proof that something was moving in the right direction again. Encouraged, I tried the recent forum challenge with a 16x multiplier, and it worked — 12 became 30. For the first time in weeks, I actually felt something other than despair, deep down a feeling of luck that just got revived.
Then came the real test. I attempted a crash game with a target of 1001x, a target that felt almost impossible because my crash was too dizzy for flying high. My balance dropped as low as 4 Doge before that round hit, and for a few seconds I thought it was over completely, again with the hope down and i gathered all the hope again in high spirit and it landed. That single moment turned everything around. From nearly losing it all, I suddenly had a real cushion again.
From there, I played Plinko, landed an 88x multiplier, and found myself sitting at 100 Doge — a number I couldn't have imagined a few weeks earlier when I had absolutely nothing.
Looking back now, what strikes me isn't really the numbers. It's the fact that hope carried me through every single point where giving up would have been so much easier. When I had no money, hope kept me searching. When my balance dropped to almost nothing before that crash multiplier hit, hope kept me watching instead of walking away in despair. Hope didn't hand me anything directly, but it kept me in the game long enough for a chance to actually reach me.
That's what I understood through all of this. You're not really alive just because your heart is beating. You're alive when you still believe tomorrow might look different from today. Lose that belief, and everything else starts to feel meaningless, no matter how much or how little you have. Keep it alive, even in your worst days, and somehow, some way, a door tends to open.
You are living till you have the hope. Lose the hope, and you're merely existing.
4 lines poem:
I Was Breathing, not That I Could,
And Suffocating never that i wished,
Rose a Light, Charming my eyes and mind,
There stood the Hope; Lending a helpful hand to me.
