In a historic auction, Sir Tim Berners-Lee, the creator of the World Wide Web, sold an NFT of the technology's source code for $5.4 million at one of the most prestigious auction houses in the world, Sotheby's.

The piece is titled ''This Changed Everything'' and contains a time-stamped file of the source code, an image, an animation of the code being written, and a letter written by Berners-Lee himself. He and his wife will donate the proceeds from this auction to different causes supported by them.
