Hi everyone! I recently started actively playing on social slot platforms where they use virtual coins for entertainment purposes only. While browsing game descriptions, I keep coming across the RTP metric, which is usually between 95% and 98%. However, I can't seem to figure it out. If this is a social casino and we're just spinning the reels for fun, what's the point of this percentage? How does it apply to free games where the balance resets daily?

Could you tell me if this metric affects how frequently bonus rounds or free spins appear? Or is it just an arbitrary number that developers copy from standard platforms to make the interface look more impressive? I'd appreciate a simple explanation for beginners.

I also thought all the numbers on these platforms were just for show. But, over time, the difference for me noticeable. It stands for "Return to Player", meaning how many coins you get back over the long run - in theory, of course. Basicaly, high percentage helps you play longer. I use Sportzino website, and they has a blog post titled "what is rtp in slots?" If you’re interested, you should check it. It explains everything pretty clearly. I haven’t dug into this much, but a friend of mine says those percentages aren’t accurate and aren't even close to 80%. He said he did some research of his own. But I'm still happy with those numbers. I don't have as much time as he does. What games are you playing right now?
