We arrive without choosing the date We meet people we never planned to meet We get attached to places we were never meant to stay in forever And then, one day, we leave
The funny thing is, we spend our whole lives acting like permanent residents
We make plan
We worry about tomorrow
We try to control every turn
We get upset when life take us somewhere we never intended to go
But maybe God is looking at all our plan and smiling, saying
That is a nice plan… but your booking is on a different route
Some people are meant to travel with us for the whole journey Some are just fellow passengers for a few stops Some leave us with beautiful memories, while others leave us with lessons we never asked for
There are delays we don’t understand
Detours that frustrate us
Destinations we never expected
And yet, sometimes the roads we never wanted to take become the most meaningful part of our journey
Maybe we are all tourists here
God is the travel agent.
He has already planned the itinerary
Made the reservations.
Decided the stops
And knows the final destination
Our job is not to understand every turn of the journey
Maybe our job is simply to enjoy the view, be kind to fellow travelers, love deeply, make memories, and trust the One who knows the road better than we ever could
Because in the end, we are not here to stay forever
We are all just passing through
And one day, when our return flight is called, we will realize that every delay, every detour, every goodbye, and every unexpected stop… was part of the journey all along
