*The headmaster of a secondary school says that I had a sign written outside the school that "Writing on the school building is prohibited."*
One day when I reached the school, what did I see? Someone had very badly defaced all the outer walls of the school by writing superstitions with paint and making dirty drawings and paintings.
This was a first and unfortunate incident for the school. I went to the school and asked some staff to track down the child who had done this. After checking the attendance record and asking a few children, we found out about a boy who had done this.
That day, I called the boy's father and said, "I want to meet you. Please come to school tomorrow."
The next day, when the boy's father came, I told him the whole story. The father called his son. After his son came, he confirmed it with a very loud voice. When the boy confessed, the father sat there and called a painter,
He talked about painting the walls as before, asked for forgiveness from me for his son's behavior, took permission, and patted his son's head with compassion and said to him in a gentle voice.
"Son, if you can't keep my head high, then don't do anything that will lower my head." And saying this, he left. I saw that the boy had hidden his mouth in his hands, clearly showing that he was crying.
I was very surprised that the boy's father had adopted such a good psychological method. His small talk had shown that it worked. Even beating the boy could not achieve the same result. To see the effects of the boy, I asked him, "Child, your father is a very kind and respectful person and he has not done you any special harm. Then what is it that makes you cry?"
The boy said: Sir, you are crying because of this. I wish my father would beat me and punish me, but he did not say such a thing. The boy apologized and asked for my permission and left. Then I saw that this child showed high performance in school and topped in every class.
Someone said the truth that children should be understood with love and not with punishment or verbal abuse.
That is why I repeatedly emphasize in my writings that you should keep your children as good friends, otherwise bad people will befriend them and turn them into bad people.
