As stated, the types of Gamblers are,

1. PROFESSIONAL GAMBLERS. As stated, these are the type of gamblers who gambles professionally to make a living out from gambling as they consider it their occupation. Professional gamblers carefully wait for the perfect bet and are skilled enough on the games they choose to play where they can win more frequently, relying on the calculations and statistics. They continually study the odds of every situation and decide when to proceed and not. They also avoid getting addicted for they know it can destroy self-control and critical thinking which will then cause to more loses than wins. They understand that gambling always have unavoidable risks and loses so they patiently wait for the perfect time to bet and tries to win as much as they can. They are rarely seen on casinos.
To become a professional gambler, one needs to have an extraordinary level of:
  • Patience
  • Frustration tolerance
  • Intelligence
  • Self-control

2. CASUAL SOCIAL GAMBLERS. They are much more common than a Professional Gambler. These type of gamblers can be seen going to a casino from time to time but do not really have the strong desire to win since gambling isn't really their number one priority. They only gamble for fun and entertainment and their primary focus is to spend time with friends, meet new people and engage in fun activities, socializing with similar people to destress from personal and professional life. They rarely develop problematic gambling since they only spend little amount of money and time playing and stops when the night or fun is over. Examples of such betting these gamblers engage to are, occasional poker game, Super Bowl bets, yearly trip to Las Vegas, and casual involvement in lotteries.

3. SERIOUS SOCIAL GAMBLERS : In contrast to Casual Social Gambler, Serious Social Gamblers invest more time gambling. For them, it is a major source of relaxation and entertainment. Yet these players place gambling only second in importance to their family and vocation. Serious Social Gamblers can still control their gambling activities, however, they can have an increased chance of developing more detrimental gambling habits once they start spending longer hours gambling just to cope up with all the stress they feel. This can only lead to more serious problems not just in gambling but with maintaining family obligations, work and social life as well.

4. RELIEF AND ESCAPE GAMBLERS : These type of gamblers gamble to find relief from anxiety, depression, anger, boredom and loneliness in their personal and or professional life. It acts as an emotional relief for them. Often, they can still display more control than a compulsive gambler. However, because of their emotional state, their decision making and judgement can be poor, making them pretty unsuccessful at winning and at the same time, losing huge amounts of money in a short period of time, leading then to higher level of stress, anxiety and depression in the long run. These type of gamblers tend to be highly vulnerable, and the negative elements of their social and or work life may lead to 'chasing'. - an indicator and attribute of compulsive gambling.

5. CONSERVATIVE GAMBLERS : These are the type of gamblers which are more interested in the experience they can get from gambling rather than seeking the thrill of winning. They just come to try out and know how it is to play slots and roll dice and other fun games because of curiosity. They just want to know how these games work based on what they seen on television, movies, internet, and word of mouth from friends and other people. They will only use small amounts of money and time gambling and stick to it wether they win or lose since they're only after the experience and nothing more.

6. ANTISOCIAL PERSONALITY GAMBLERS : These are the type of gamblers which behave in illegal ways, desiring to make very huge amounts of money gambling by any means necessary. They are more likely to illegally fix bets, and are occupied with illegal side of gambling. They may have a history of unlawful behaviour and is characterized by deceitfulness, aggressiveness, and manipulation. They will tend to lie, cheat, steal, and deceive other players and even people in-charge just to get on top all the time. These usually are the ones who uses the simple tactics like hiding cards and or play with loaded dice in casinos, and doing hacks in online gambling, etc.

7. COMPULSIVE GAMBLERS : These are the type of gamblers whose lives are entirely controlled by money and gambling. For them, gambling is very important. Compulsive gambling is a progressive addiction which harms every aspect of a gambler's life. As they continue to gamble, their work life and relationship with family and friends are greatly affected. In addition, compulsive gamblers may engage in illegal activities like stealing, lying and cheating, which obviously go against their moral standards and credibility. They can no longer control their addiction, and can no longer stop gambling no matter how much they try to stop.
Even if they do not admit it, they frequently display signs of gambling disorder like:
  • Spending too much time gambling
  • Making unsuccessful attempts to cut back or stop gambling
  • Continuing to gamble despite issues with relationships, work, school or home life caused by gambling
  • Constantly chasing the next win to compensate for the last loss
Compulsive gamblers typically need professional treatment and support from their loved ones to avoid worsening life circumstances. Compulsive gambling can quickly consume a person’s life.

And how about these gamblers who keep whining after every loses but do not really take time to study how the game works? And how about these individuals who comes only to beg for some? Which type of gambler do you think they belong to?

How about you? Which one are you?

All I can say is, no matter what type of a gambler you are, wether you already are a professional one, a moderate player or just a beginner, remember to set limits. Gambling can be addictive. Never let it consume you wholly. It's ok to play but never get too addicted to it. Always take moderations or you'll be living your whole life in misery.

Read the article for more details.

P.S.
Again, like what I always say in some of my threads about gambling, it's ok to gamble. But learn to have limitations when it comes to spending time and money. Do not try spending what you can't afford to lose. And play, only to have fun and to get entertained. Do not take it into real serious levels. Don't get too hooked up and too addicted to it cuz it can surely ruin your whole life, driving you to finally end your days.

Take care windice family.
Stay safe. Dont play too much :)

I think this was the best for me. Because sometimes you get bored and nothing to do, I usually just deposit and play. Sometimes also doing stupid like stated on the paragraph.

That’s an interesting classification, but I cannot decide which type I belong to. It seems I’m more of a CASUAL SOCIAL GAMBLER, but sometimes I can become a SERIOUS SOCIAL GAMBLER because sometimes I tend to bet quite a lot. It mostly depends on my mood and my gut feeling, which is almost always right.
I prefer online casinos like Schweizer Online-Casino because they don’t require me to leave the house and see other people. I also think it’s easier to win in such casinos for some reason. I’m afraid that if I go to a real casino, I will get addicted to serious gambling, and I will not be able to control myself. That’s why I prefer to keep my distance and stay online.
