Hello everyone,

Greeting from winter season. I hope all will be cold as winter snow.

Now that the open season has arrived, the weather feels gentle and serene. After months of dark, cloudy skies and endless rain, we can finally behold the wide expanse of blue once more.

At times like this, while everyone is busy with work, taking a trip to relax becomes one of the best ways to relax our mind and stress. Whether with family, close friends, or even alone, travel offers a sense of freedom and refreshment.

For me, one of the most memorable experiences from my childhood was journeying with my family to Bagan, visiting its ancient temples and pagodas. Bagan is a land filled with countless pagodas and stupas, but, according to historical list, there are 4,446,733 pagodas. And also it is the UNESCO World Heritage list. In that sacred land of ancient Bagan, each pagoda rises with its own story, built by kings and devoted people long ago.

I once heard that the people of that era were so prosperous that even a widow could afford to build a pagoda — a reflection of the kingdom’s harmony and wealth. Though countless pagodas stand across the land, each one carries its own meaning and history. When we reached a pagoda, we can see the historical stone in front of the pagoda that inscriptions reveal all: who built this pagoda, on what date, their purpose, and their wishes on that wall. Even the children of the region can recount these histories with clarity that often surpasses my own understanding.

You might wonder why visiting this region is best in the winter season. The answer lies in its tropical climate: in other seasons, travel can be uncomfortable. The rainy season there are much wet and mud, and summer scorches the land with intense heat. When you visit in the winter, the weather is very pleasant because the area is neither too hot nor too cold. Yet, this is also because Bagan has been carefully preserved as part of Myanmar’s ancient heritage. Everything remains as it once was. Between the pagodas, there are no paved roads — only earthen paths, just as they were centuries ago.

For me, the greatest joy of traveling there lies in wandering among the pagodas, uncovering knowledge and wisdom with every step. No matter how many times I return to that land, each journey overflows with happiness and wonder, leaving my heart full and content. When the opportunity arises again, I hope to return, to wander its paths and marvel at its wonders once more.

If my friends were to visit, I would surely take them on a journey to that land, to explore its pagodas and ancient paths together. I warmly invite everyone to come visit Myanmar. And in time, you are welcome to share stories of places in your own land that you dream of exploring.

Thanks for your precious time 🌼
