From the Words of a Mother...
I am so tired of this life .the emotional and financial pressure in my country is driving me crazy . But in this meaningless world god has given me two things. A son and a daughter and they are the only reason I keep living .every morning when I wake up I ask god to protect them for me.
A few hours later...
No matter how many times I call, they don't answer their phones .i am dying from anxiety . My God , I entrusted my children to You. Please protect them
The next day they called me with the worst possible tone and said, "Come and collect the bodies of your children."
On January 8 and 9 a tragedy happened in our country Iran. The exact number of people who lost their lives has never been officially announced and different sources report different numbers . most of those who died were young. Protests took place in Iran because of the rising prices and the terrible economic situation in the country.
Where else in the world are so many people killed because of protests? What is the answer for the mothers and fathers who lost their children and for the children who lost their parents?
What is even more shocking is that these people consider themselves ras good people while they call those who joined the protests unbelievers and idol worshippers and bad people . how can you do such things? How can people like this reach positions of power?
They would not even give the bodies back to the families. And even when they did, they did not allow them to hold a right funeral with quran . One person even called a family and said, "Come with flowers and sweets to collect your child's body."
How can these people call themselves human? How did they come to power?
What is that mother supposed to do after spending so much love and so many years raising her children? i cannot imagine even one thousandth of this pain
The answer to people who are unhappy with the economic and social conditions of their country should not be bullets, guns, whips, or executions..
I know my voice will not reach anyone but I hope the God above us brings the worst punishment to those who caused this pain
