You can contact support online and check the reason for being muted. One of the reasons could be if you have multiple accounts which is not allowed.

1. Why do you think you was muted?
2. Muted by whom?
3. Wasn't your "friend" by any chance just another account of yours?

Maybe there is a deep reason behind your 365 days mute my friend for sure the mods didnt mute you for nothing. Maybe you have made a very heavy offense that made our mods mad that is why you were muted 1 year also if you have disputes you can always contact support for sure they can help you out or atleast answer your question like why like this why like that etc.

Under such circumstances the best way is to contact support only. They will inform the reason and ensure that from next time you do not repeat the same. Obviously, if the offence is big or duplicate account etc then ban is the final verdict. I am sure OP would have known the reason for which he was banned/muted.
