The most anticipated day for the IPL final is here, and after two months of intense competition amongst 10 teams, we finally will have a winner tonight. This match will be played between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. Since its inception in 2008, IPL has risen by leaps and bounds.

This is going to be played in Ahmedabad beginning in couple of hours from now. This will be a very special encounter for Chennai and Dhoni particularly, given it is said that this could be Dhoni's final season in the IPL. It's currently pouring, and I'm hoping it doesn't ruin the game or cut it short. In last 5 matches played by both team, Gujarat has lost 2 and Chennai has lost 1 match.

What a sensational conclusion that has been. With the match outcome coming in the final ball, it was well worth the wait. This has been one of the closest matches in this IPL season and a fitting conclusion to the season. CSK wins the trophy for the fifth time, equaling MI's record of five wins.

Batting first Gujarat made mammoth score of 214/4 in 20 overs with Sudarshan being highest score of 96. Chennai got off to a good start, losing the first wicket for 74 runs and with every batsman adding to the total. Eventually, 13 runs were needed in the final over and 10 runs in the final two balls. Sir Jadeja was on the crease, when the second last ball was knocked out of the ground for 6 runs.

Last ball and four runs were needed to win the match and the title, and Sir Jadeja's miraculous batting hammered the ball to the boundary and fulfilled Dhoni's dream, who may or may not be back next season. Overall, a great game to win the cup for him.
