Historically, in 1966, UNESCO and the International Labour Organization (ILO) made a special agreement called the "ILO/UNESCO Recommendation on the Status of Teachers". This agreement was about teachers' rights, responsibilities, training, working conditions, respects, and their hard work.
What's more, it was a big step for teachers because it protected their rights. After in 1994, UNESCO chose 5th October as World Teachers' Day and it was the day that teachers' rights were completely recognized.
Moreover, A teacher does not mean to teach in school only when a person teach you a new idea or new word that becomes your teacher. Teachers change darkness to brightness. Teachers change badness to goodness so we celebrate this day to remember teachers' rights and to honor teachers. Everyone has to celebrate this day worldwide to respect teachers, to give them prize and honor. Happy Teachers' Day - my teachers.
