Hello Windice friends!

Today I want to talk to you about the typical Christmas sweets in Spain. Christmas here isn't just about lights and family; it's also an explosion of sugar and tradition that sweetens the cold December nights!
Imagine being at a table, after dinner, surrounded by your loved ones with an assortment of these treats... It's pure magic!
TURRÓN: The undisputed king! From Alicante (hard, with whole almonds) or from Jijona (soft and creamy). Nowadays there are modern and delicious versions like **pistachio turrón** or even **peanut turrón**. There's something for everyone!
POLVORONES AND MANTECADOS: These dry, buttery sweets melt in your mouth. Made with lard, almonds, and sugar. Be careful when unwrapping them—they crumble everywhere!
MAZAPÁN: Originating from Toledo, delicate figures made of almond and sugar. Truly edible works of art!
ROSCÓN DE REYES:Although it's for January 6th (Three Kings' Day), you can already find it in all the bakeries. A circular bun decorated with candied fruit, hiding a surprise... and a bean! **Tradition says that whoever finds the figurine is crowned king, and whoever finds the bean... pays for the roscón!**
Every home has its favorite, and every region its special version. Eating these sweets isn't just a pleasure; it's a ritual. And precisely **tonight, as we celebrate Christmas Eve, after the family dinner, all these sweets will be on the table. I hope I can control myself a bit and not overindulge!**
They are shared during dessert, with a glass of cava, sweet wine, or, of course, a good coffee!
