Cardano is a fully decentralized cryptocurrency project that is developed on the basis of open source (open source) software. Specialists and engineers at the academic level from all over the world take part in the creation and development of the project.

What is Cardano (ADA)?

Cardano is a general purpose blockchain designed from peer-reviewed academic research. It is developed by a multidisciplinary team of engineers, mathematicians, scientists and professionals.

The ongoing development of the platform always takes place using a scientific approach. According to its creators, the key design principles behind Cardano are security, scalability and interoperability.

Ada, Cardano's native currency, is used to perform operations on the Cardano blockchain, similar to Ether (ETH) and Ethereum.

Cardano's development is broken down into many business units. IOHK is responsible for the development of the Cardano protocol, while the Cardano Foundation oversees the project, and EMURGO is responsible for business development and acceleration of adoption. IOHK was also involved in increasing the usability of Ethereum Classic (ETC).

Currently altcoin rank Cardano (ADA) is #5 from market cryptocurrency - 13.06/2021.
