Ok so I was actually beginning this as a reply in another thread but its length got more in depth than I had intended so I am starting a new thread of it here which describes the seriousness of gaming and addiction and the fine line between the two.
This is very true. I have never seen any gaming site that allows a person to risk their money and also not have a gambling awareness/addiction guidance info and website/numbers. In fact I was once with Bovada and had been for many many years. Then I hit a jackpot on a slot game for 15000 mBTC which at that time equaled $15,000.00 since BTC was at $10K/coin and while I was in chat discussing the jackpot with the customer service person I had unintentionally and not actually having a true meaning behind my statement said to them something in reference to "my gambleholic self" and with just those particular words right there I was banned for life. This occurred just last year in May. And I was a regular poker player there since 2008 playing 1000's of multi table tournaments with large fields of anywhere from 150 runners to 3-4000 runners and finishing a fair portion ITM and several finishes in 1st place and final table throughout this period from 2008 onward. So I was known as a very good poker player yet after all the years and just one slip of the tongue without any solid truth to the words but just an exaggeration I can no longer game of any sort be it poker, sports, slots, cant even login to the site. My IP is banned also haha right along with me. I was shocked. But most sites take gambling addiction very very seriously. Which I have always known but had never crossed my mind that I would be subject to banned for life for just a slip of my selected words. Sites will allow you to turn off this or regulate that for x amount of time or indefinitely which is generally your choice but if you self admit of any addiction be it truth or not you may be subject to affirmative action such as this here. And I have always made certain my bills are paid. Food is always bought and available and my gaming does not interfere with my life functions or relationships and in all reality pays my way through many facets of life and I entertain myself with slots, while poker is a far more serious and calculated form of gambling for me. But just within the past year somehow I have managed to spend on gaming a little bit over $1 million. And I damn sure know I have not earned that much from working a job that is of a normal customary kind since I have not worked in over 2 years now. However I have never been that attracted to slots as much as I have become in the past year. Which could explain the million bucks flowing through my fingertips and me catching some fallout. But I am not addicted to gambling. Do I love gambling? Yes. It is fun. It races the blood through my veins when I am playing but that is primarily from my competitive mindset and I hate to lose at anything.

And now that I am creating this piece to read it makes me want to look more indepth to a lot of the action that has happened within the past year. I know some serious analyzation needs to occur.

So on that note I will close and hope it may help another somewhere down the road from reading.

Hahaha sad to hear you got banned! Well we must find gambling as leisure, just for passing time and not an addiction. When someone has been so greatly affected by losing he/she must stop playing. Addiction starts when you lose and gain a lot and lose 2 times larger. Hahah I think 😅

to me when you first see signs of an addiction it is or should show indications of a pattern that you normally do or would not do. example is taking your electric bill money or your rent money or worst case your childs saved money for that special something or another they saved it up for. these are all signs of a problem or addiction. But suppose you had no worries of money and was filthy rich. and no matter what amount you lost or won it had no bearing on your financial state, then how would you know there is an addiction? it will show in your mannerisms or demeanor which some may not notice but people who know you well will see or notice changes. The gaming industry has literally spent billions of dollars just on the research of the colors you see and the tone of the bells and whistle you here from the games. all these are factored and combined in selective placement to grab your attention. captivate you and ultimately entice you or persuade you to spend that dollar in your pocket in the machine that got your attention. if you go to any casino and look around what is the same and little difference from a casino in one part of the world to another casino on the other side of the world? the very distinct similarities are they have no clocks anywhere throughout the buildings.an not they have not even one window that looks outside other than the glass doors that you enter and exit through but other than that there is no way to view the outside world from inside a casino, except through the glass doors. and I have even noticed in some that they do not allow employees to wear watches so in the event a patron asks the time they can not give it with at least any accuracy.

oh wow, never had actually gambled using money as a risk factor to gain until the pandemic began? All I can advise is if you hit a big win of a large amount, not so much like a small amount with high odds but large amount of funds that will seem a lot to you (like some people think $100.00 is a lot while another may value the 100.00 to be simular to 1000.00 or 10,000.00) because that is the big grabber to create irrational behavior.

You are right, I play at 20% of my balance)

Yes I agree with you on this. Changing of behavior is the common signs of addiction. Doing crazy things just so could bet and play. But when did it start? From winning huge? From losing self-control? I have this uncle of mine who like to bet on cockfighting. He loves so much to bet and cannot maintain his usual self from not going to the place of events and even he has no money he keeps himself present to the field. Is he an addict or its his normal state? Because it has become his regular weekly session.
Hmmn I want to add to that of the rich, it may go unnoticed or just a fraction of thier richest, but isn't staying present on the same place of events cannot be a sign? Is it then just the persons regular state?

Yep, windice by far has the best and attractive online casino I have seen as it can be explore more easily. Sounds are perfect too. I haven't had any other sites that attracts me simply by the graphics. And honestly I haven't been to any real life casino.

Oh, so there is no time at casinos. I presumed that it is because to lure the players more without minding the time.

Ps. I give up on the discussion. Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣

Hahahaha. Dannng I am lovong this thread. Swear. And sorry to know how you got banned juat because of one small mistake. Dang. And yeaaahh. We love gambling but nope we are not addicted to gambling. Hahaha! I am with you on this. Hahaha! Cuz for me, if I'm considered a gambling addict I should have already used all our money just to continue gambling and should have been playing hard til this day. Fortunately i still have control with everything so yes, i am not addicted to gambling, also I have already slowed down from playing here and there unlike before. :)

Hahaha. In short, gambler addicts falls under 7. In the thread I made here a long time ago, titled "

TYPES OF GAMBLERS which one do you think are you?

the 7th and worst type of gambler, COMPULSIVE GAMBLER

that is a very good rule to play by. so as long as you adhere to this then it is almost impossible to bust but it can happen just not as near as easily since you play with just a portion of your roll. I too do that but I also break my own rules at times and take my entire roll to the table. This is a bad practice I must stop if I intend to be profitable. But I use it for entertainment and when I deposit I think of it as the price I pay for x amount of time of fun. Although with potential to have gains.

you are far from a gambling addict. I see your stats and you are a methodical player. best of luck to you in your games and run good always !

this is a very good description of a problemed gambler. I dont consider myself an addicted or compulsive gambler but I do take big shots and try hard to run my balance up and seem to always push it to its limits but I always have bills covered and what I deposit is alloted for loss in event I am not running good. But it is fun, sometimes even if losses occur it is fun to see what I need to fix or correct the next time I play.

And it is maybe for the better you have a duty here to help in your wanting to see the works here but the duty keeps from the involving monetarily. Just a quick observation and I may be far off, but I do think it is very cool you being a mod now. Oh and I am to get with my niece so she can help me set up twitch bots and stuff. might be another week or so but soon, very soon I am hoping

Bro, if a player has a gambling addiction, then he will not
(after a loss, still make a deposit, play for the last money)
