Feeling bored is something we often say throughout the day. It can be really tiring. Time passes without us enjoying it or feeling happy. First, we need to lower our expectations and, more importantly, change our mindset. Happiness shouldn't just come from drinking or sexual pleasure. There are many simple things that can make us happy; we just need to want it.

So, what causes this boredom? It can vary for each person. Some may struggle with depression, whether due to their environment or genetics. Others believe that social media and its negative atmosphere contribute to long-term depression. Some even think that the effects of COVID-19 and its vaccine play a role. There are also those who say that without money, happiness is impossible.

While it's true that having money can provide many opportunities for joy, should we really wait to be wealthy before we can feel happy? Of course not.

What can I do?
Whenever I feel bored, it seems like my brain loses its ability to think and decide, and I don't know what to do to keep myself entertained. However, after some thought and searching, I found a list of activities that can change your mood:

1. Play games on websites like Windice . It's really fun! I recommend trying it, but be careful not to get addicted to gambling.​
2. Reduce your time on social media platforms like Instagram. This can improve your mental activity, boost creativity, enhance sleep, reduce stress, and ultimately lead to more happiness.​
3. Go for a walk or spend time outside (it's even better with a friend). Walking for 20 minutes a day increases blood circulation and oxygen in your body, making you feel more energized. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes.​
4. Bake a cake or make yourself some tea. I'm not a great cook, but every time I bake a cake with my mom, I forget my worries. Plus, who doesn't love a good cup of tea?​
5. Watch a movie with snacks and a few friends. It's a lot of fun, especially with horror films. If you know any good horror movies, let me know!​
6. Exercise and do some yoga.​
7. Redecorate your home or room.​
8. Read books: Unfortunately, not many people read books. I promise that if you sit down and read a good book carefully, you will get so absorbed in the story and content that it will open your mind and keep you entertained.​
9. Video games are one of the most popular pastimes. However, try to limit your gaming time to avoid getting bored. Speaking from experience, I used to play almost 24/7, but now I’m not as interested in gaming as I used to be.​
10. Get a pet. Having a pet has truly added a new joy to my life, and I’m really happy with my choice.​
11. If you’re not into pets, you can get some flowers and take care of them.​
12. Draw: Sometimes when you feel bored, just grab a pencil and paper and you can spend hours drawing and having fun.​
13. Music is food for the soul. Try listening to music and singing along. It’s even more fun in the shower! 🤦‍♂️😂3.14+zzz-z+a
14. In general, increase your activity level. Sitting in one place for too long is one of the main reasons for feeling bored.​
15. Play board games or family games. Whenever we gather at my aunt's house, we play Mafia, and it’s really exciting and fun. You should play a game with your friends too. If it involves some movement, that’s even better.​
16. If you drink too much coffee, try to cut back. Excess caffeine can cause issues like stress, and reducing coffee can help bring calm back to your body.​
17. Try making origami. It's a fun art form. With just a piece of paper and some visual instructions, you can create interesting shapes and animals. I really enjoy making rockets and frogs in origami.​
18. If you have an album of past memories, take some time to look through it.​
19. Call your friends and check in on how they are doing.​
20. Make plans. Always have goals for your life. Living without goals can feel meaningless. Start with small goals and then think about bigger ones. Choosing a huge goal suddenly might lead to challenges in achieving it.​
21. Go shopping. Even if you don't plan to buy anything, take a stroll to see what's out there. I've heard that shopping can have a positive effect on a person's mood.​
22. Go to the movies or an amusement park with your friends.​



You can't have fun until you want to and stop being lazy. Sure, some of these things might seem childish. But who cares? You only live once. Try to make every moment happy and memorable for yourself.
