The new design of windice, along with the recent update, is a step forward. a modern casino needs modern tools, and its moderation team has to be equipped to handle the challenges of a community that keeps growing every day here at windice.
Taking advantage of this new modernization, i want to bring up an issue that’s currently putting the community at risk: the reporting process and the security of private messages (PM).
The problem: reports expire because of delays.
1) look for a moderator in the chat
2) send them a private message
3) get redirected to an external platform like telegram
4) if the moderator is busy or offline, the report gets delayed. If it takes too long, the report becomes invalid.
This means the current process forces the user to leave the website, go to telegram, and wait for a moderator to be available. plus, if the user doesn’t use telegram for whatever reason then the situation changes completely, and windice should really consider that too.
Private messages and the lack of solid evidence:
Private messages is where scammers usually contact you. Through PM, they offer investment schemes, offer win a lot of big profit, or other suspicious deals breaking the casino’s rules.
Screenshots are the most effective way to report, but the current interface has two big flaws:
1) No date stamp: right now, private messages only show the time not the full date when the message was sent. A screenshot without the date is easy for the offender to dispute, since the moderator can’t verify when it was taken.
2) Privacy risk: sending sensitive screenshots to a third party like telegram for an official report adds unnecessary risk.
Fix this problem, it’s a security necessity.
Proposal: an instant reporting system for Windice:
With this new design, i suggest adding a secure reporting feature that removes the need for external platforms and keeps evidence safe.
1) "one click" report button:
a simple option to report a user or message with one click, opening a form inside the casino.
2) Secure, encrypted evidence image upload:
Let users upload images directly to windice server only visible to moderation team.
this protects the reporter’s privacy and keeps everything inside windice.
3) automatic evidence timestamp:
when a report is sent, the system should:
create a ticket with a unique ID:
Automatically record the exact date and time the rule was broken so we don’t rely only on what the screenshot shows.
send ticket directly to the correct Windice team based on language, so they can review and take action based on the evidence.
With these steps, we will get more security and less problems, while Windice invests in a reporting system that matches its reputation as an innovative casino.
