A few days ago, I saw my mom staring at her phone while crying. Worried and scared, I went to her and asked what was wrong. She shared a story she read online:
it is about a girl who lived with her father after her mother passed away when she was young. After her mother’s death, the girl became very sad, and her father grew angrier and more distant. Days passed slowly until the father decided to arrange a marriage for his daughter. She was only 14 and had no feelings for the man, but she felt forced to marry due to their difficult situation.
A year passed, and they soon became parents despite their tough living conditions. The girl insisted that it wasn't the right time to have a baby since their situation was still difficult. However, their families kept pushing them, often saying something silly like, "Just have a baby; god will help you with that." A child was born, but money was dead. Meanwhile, the girl's husband increasingly turned to addiction. Life was generally hard, yet he borrowed money from anyone he could to use more drugs. The girl often cried in solitude, lamenting her life. Whenever she felt upset, she thought of God and her child to find some peace.
Time passed, and four years later, they had another child. Life became even harder than before. The young girl worked hard to earn a little money to feed her children. But the man grew more careless, addicted, and angry each day. He took every penny she earned to spend on drugs. Even their families couldn't control him. There was a new fight every day, worse than the last, making life increasingly difficult. Eventually, the man abandoned his wife and children, disappearing completely. The girl was left alone with her two small children and a mountain of debt.
She realized she couldn't handle all this hardship. In a moment of despair, she did the unthinkable. Madness took over, and she saw the world as a living hell for herself and her kids. Watching her children suffer from hunger and feeling powerless, she wept as she took their lives and then ended her own.
Unfortunately, this is a true story that happened many years ago. Similar events have occurred frequently.
After finishing the story, I took the phone from my mom and deleted that channel. That's why I avoid social media a lot. It's full of bad news and events. It's rare to hear good news.
But why did the story end up like this? Why did the girl do that? One issue still seen in society is that couples with serious financial problems should not have children, hoping that things will change when the baby is born. It doesn't always work that way. Those innocent children had the right to live and should not suffer because of their parents' foolishness.
I truly wish for these social and economic problems to be eliminated, and I hope you never experience sadness and always stay happy and healthy
