Wishing everyone a very Happy Diwali and a wonderful year ahead. Diwali is the largest festival in India and is also celebrated in some parts of the world to some degree. This festival is known as the Festival of Lights and symbolizes the triumph of good over evil. Its origins trace back to the era of Lord Ram, who returned home after 14 years of exile, having defeated King Ravan alongside his brother Laxman and wife Sita.

The homecoming of Lord Ram after 14 years was marked by the illumination of everything with Diyas (earthen lamps), and it was celebrated as a grand festival. From this moment, Diwali became significant and is regarded as a sacred occasion.

The celebration involves lighting lamps, candles, and Diyas to brighten their homes. People exchange sweets by visiting the homes of close friends and family. Traditional sweets are prepared during this time to welcome family members, and gift exchanges also take place.

Whether children or adults, everyone participates in bursting firecrackers to celebrate the return of Lord Ram and the victory of light over darkness. Rangoli designs, made of colorful patterns, are created on the floors to invite wealth and prosperity into the home.
