Hello! I hope you are doing well.

We all agree that gambling can be fun, even if you lose more than you win. This is especially true at the beginning, when it feels even more enjoyable. Gambling can be much more rewarding with proper planning and setting loss limits. However, if you don't follow these rules, you might end up losing and trying to recover your losses.
First and foremost, you should not see gambling as a source of income. You must accept the possibility of losing and not focus only on winning. If you always win, the site will go bankrupt and won't benefit from it. So, always be prepared for losses, even if the chance of losing is just 1 percent.
It's important to control your emotions in the gambling , especially when you lose, as the most foolish actions happen when you're angry after a loss. You've likely heard many times that you should gamble with money you can afford to lose. so you won't get that mad after busting

Why do we become addicted to gambling?
There are many reasons for gambling addiction, but one of the main ones is the release of dopamine. When we hit a big win, our brain releases a lot of this hormone, which makes us feel pleasure, similar to the effects of drugs. Long term engagement in gambling can lead to addiction, and the more you gamble, the harder it is to stop.

To avoid becoming addicted to gambling, it's important to follow some guidelines:
First, try to stay away from gambling if possible. If you do choose to gamble, only bet a small amount. Don’t spend all your time on gambling. make sure to enjoy other activities as well. Forget about the idea of getting rich overnight. Set a goal for yourself, and once you reach it, either stop or reduce your gambling.
By following these tips, you can lower your risk of developing a gambling addiction.

Gambling addiction can be just as harmful as drug addiction, even worse. A person who is addicted to gambling does not set limits on losses or winnings and keeps playing until their money either increases significantly or runs out completely. They may feel lucky, but casinos are designed to ensure that players do not always win. Eventually, heavy losses can occur, leading to a zero balance.
In this situation, people might think they have lost too much and that the casino owes them a big win. They may borrow money from others to try to get that big win they believe they deserve. However, this is a huge mistake. You should never borrow money for gambling. Consider if you can repay the amount you borrow if you lose it. If the answer is no, you need to stop gambling. But a person with an addiction often ignores this and continues to gamble, finding ways to get the money no matter what.

Gambling addiction can lead to serious problems. A person might borrow money from person (A) and lose it, then turn to person (B) for more money to try to win back what was lost. They plan to pay back both (A) and (B), but they don't consider that they could lose this money too, ending up in debt to both. Sometimes they even sell valuable items to continue gambling.

Gambling addiction causes many problems, including:
serious financial issues, mental health challenges, physical health concerns, social and family problems, and other difficulties.

a real story:
One of my loved ones unfortunately got caught up in the same problem. He was so greedy that he borrowed from lots of people to pay off previous debts. He did all of this secretly, away from everyone. His debts grew significantly. When he spent his monthly income on this, his wife finally found out. He was lucky she noticed early. he was about to sell his car to have more money for gambling. He went through a lot of stress and almost faced divorce, but they gave him another chance. I asked him why he didn’t stop after the first loss. He said he was naive.... and thought he would win back all losses. Now, he has completely distanced himself from gambling. Fortunately, he hasn’t gotten divorced and has chosen a nearly fulltime job to keep himself busy and away from gambling.

I truly feel like I've become a bit addicted, and nothing else gives me as much pleasure as gambling. I even gamble without thinking and don’t set any limits for myself. Right now, i have busted everything. After realizing my situation, I went on YouTube to look up stories of people who lost their lives to gambling. The videos were so painful and upsetting that I felt ashamed of myself. Many people lost their homes and cars just to try their luck, without considering the possibility of losing.
I hope you never come close to anything like this, and I wish you luck and success. But if you think you might be gambling too much and want to quit, I suggest keeping yourself busy with other activities. If you’ve really are zero, don’t borrow money and think about the consequences, as you might lose again. Definitely try to see a counselor or at least talk to someone who can help you feel better.

Stay healthy and happy : )

All kind of addictions are bad. I do not see any bright side of gambling addiction, nor do I see any bright side of any other addictions. If we want to point out the dark sides of these addictions, we will be able to write it the whole day. Gambling addiction can ruin anyone's family, mental health, and even physical health. The addicted person does not realize that they are getting addicted. The family members have to take action in such cases. But, do we spend enough time with our family so they can notice what we are doing?

Exactly. That's what happened in this case too . If his wife didn't stopped him, then god knows what was next.
