**Around this time of year, colds are very common, which is why I've decided to write about these natural remedies. I hope they can be of help to someone**
Changes in temperature, stress, and shorter days can weaken our defenses. Instead of relying solely on medication, we can support ourselves with ingredients we likely already have at home. Here are some remedies that work for me:
**Ginger, lemon, and honey**: A tea with these three ingredients is a classic for a reason. Ginger is anti-inflammatory, honey soothes the throat, and lemon provides vitamin C.
**Homemade chicken broth**: It's not a myth. A good warm broth helps maintain hydration, relieves congestion, and provides nutrients when you don't feel like eating much.
**Eucalyptus steam inhalation**: A few eucalyptus leaves in boiling water, a towel over your head... and breathe in the steam deeply. It instantly relieves a stuffy nose.
**Propolis**: A few drops in warm water or tea can be great support for your defenses and for soothing throat irritation.
**Quality rest**: Sometimes, the best remedy is to stop. Getting good sleep gives your body the energy it needs to recover.
These tips are a complement, never a substitute for what a healthcare professional recommends. Take good care, and I hope you feel better soon!
